Step 1
Book Your Session
Hi friends and welcome! Thanks for your interest in our Friendswood Portrait studio and here is just some very detailed information on how it all works! Head to our home page and click on the photo that best represents your session type. We specialize in portraits, headshots, boudoir, maternity, newborn, cake smashes, milestones, holidays, seniors and families. From there the information link will take you to all the information you need to know about your session you've chosen. From there, click the Pricing and Availability button or the Book Now button to book your session. If you do not see the exact time and date you need, please email us so we can do our best to accomodate. For newborns, you will schedule your session for one week after your due date, and email your photographer to reschedule once baby arrives. Your session fee at checkout is your retainer and covers the cost of your photographer and her assistant planning, designing, posing and shooting your session. This fee is your non refundable retainer that saves your date and time of your appointment. It is nonrefundable because that is time booked in the studio's schedule that will take planning and prep work to hold your spot. You can always reschedule your session free for any reason any time before your session start time by emailing your photographer. The retainer can also be used towards a different session if needed.
Step 2
Planning Your Session!
A day or two before your session your photographer will be in touch over email to go over the details and planning of your session! We will discuss everything from backdrops to props to wardrobe! However, feel free to email us anytime before your session with questions, planning details and your inspo pics from our website, instagram and pinterest so we can see the style you are going for! If you would like to book our Hair and Makeup Artist to do your hair and makeup at the studio at the start of your session time simply head to the shop page of this website to purchase straight through there! We also have add ons like a pure cake you can add to your session that will be ready for you at the studio when you arrive for your one year old's cake smash to make the session a breeze! We also have a client closet at the studio that is included free for all sessions to use. Our client closet consists of bonnets, headbands, outfits and wraps for newborns, one year old outfits for cake smash and milestones, lingerie for boudoir, and gowns and accessories for maternity sessions.
Step 3
Shooting Your Session!
Welcome to our studio! We are located at 1414 S. Friendswood Dr. Building A, Suite #124. When you walk in hang a right and you will walk straight to our studio. Please feel free to arrive as early as you need to be photo ready. We do have a comfortable waiting room as well if the studio door is closed or in session, bathrooms for changing, and a vanity with lights for hair and makeup. If the studio door is open come on in! Photoshoots start exactly at the session time that was booked, not when you arrive. Late arrivals can choose to finish the time in their session or will have to book a new session to finish. If you book a Hair & Makeup Artist she will begin at your session start time and your session will follow. Your photographer will walk you through all of the poses during your session and make sure you feel beautiful and comfortable the whole session through!
Step 4
Picking Your Favorites!
During the last part of your session you will get to sit with your photographer and view all of your photos on the rolling tv screen and pick your favorite shots for your photographer to edit. You will also get to discuss as much or as little custom retouching you desire which is included in every session. You will get to let your photographer know anything you need photoshopped or fixed and discuss different editing styles. Your photographer will show you all the prints and products we have to offer, discuss how many digitals you would like to purchase, and send you an invoice for your digitals over email. Once that is paid your photographer happily gets to work on those long hours of editing your gorgeous photos!
Step 5
Viewing Your Gallery!
One week after your session you will get an email that your beautifully edited photos are ready to view in your gallery with a link! Can't wait that long? We also have rush delivery available for purchase through the shop page to have your photos ready in 24 hours. You can also view your gallery straight from the gallery page of this website without the link. Your gallery will be available to view, download digitals and make purchases for 30 days after your session. The digitals you purchased will be available for unlimited downloads to any phone or computer as well. After 30 days all galleries are permanently deleted. If you need more time to download and decide on prints and products thats okay! You can purchase a month to month subscription through the shop page for us to keep hosting your gallery and keeping your photos safe. In your gallery you will get to share your edited photos, make favorites lists, and leave comments under the photos for you photographer to see.
Step 6
Purchasing Your Products!
All products can be purchase straight through your gallery and the shop page of this website. No need to return to the studio or use zoom for an ordering appointment! Prints and canvases can be purchased through your gallery page by clicking the photo you want in your gallery and viewing the sizes, prices and materials of each product. Custom crystal usb drives, engraved keepsake books, and custom albums can be purchased through the Shop page. When you purchase a product from the shop page your photographer will email you to custom design the engraving, colors, and material of your product. For a full list of product prices visit our Investment page. Feel free to share the webpage or link with friends and family too so that they can view and place orders also! For example, your newborn's grandmother who lives out of state will be able to view her new grand baby's photos and order order canvas art delivered straight to her home!
